It's a bird...

Okay, I must admit this whole papercrafting trend of birds, freaks me out a little bit. I like the cute penquins, maybe an owl, but the rest is just not my personal taste.

However, I did make a card using birds today, but they are stinkin cute! This is a retired Sale-a-bration set called "too punny". This is one I did not get rid of, it's a keeper. Sale-a-bration is not too far off, starts 2/1-3/31- earn free sets with $50 purchase.

A friend of mine broke her ankle skiing and just had surgery this week, so I wanted to send her a card to cheer her up. I chose some bright, happy designer paper and then picked my color scheme from there. I also was inspired to stamp inside my card after being inspired by some of my blog roll friends do it.

She is going to love this. I agree with you on the whole bird thing. I see some that are totally adorable but I just can't bring myself to commit.

I'm with you on the birds and monkeys showing up everywhere - takes a little getting used to :) Your card is darling though, and I sure hope your friend recovers quickly, how terrible to have an bad accident like that while on vacation!!
