One of my goals for the new year was to try to do some of the demo challenges on SCS. This week's workshop wow was to do a non-typical valentine based on this cookie bouquet as inspiration. The challenge was to use the colors:
* tempting turquoise
*night of navy
real red could only be used as an accent color.
I used the heart shape cookies for my inspiration starting point and embossed the hearts in silver or real red craft ink with clear embossing over it. I ran into a snag when I had no lovely liliac in my stash- luckily I had some retired dsp that had mostly a solid base color or lovely liliac on one side. For my touch of red, I had some retired SU jumbo heart eyelets. These almost 4 years old (hoarder alert), but I realized I could set them with my crop-a-dile! The stamp set I used is on special this month in a bundle package -Love you much, you can save 20 % off when you get stamp set, paper and punch together for $41.48.
