Are you ready for some Football?

This is a layout I did last month.  I finally got around to scrapping some photos from last year, considering my son started his new season in beginning of August.   Simple layout, I used a retired Stampin Up set called Just Football and billboard sissix strip  letters for Big shot.

Teacher gift

Latenight stampers challenge this week was "back to school".  I still had some Stampendous pails in my stash so I thought I would make a teacher survival kit.  I did most of this with my big shot from Stampin Up.  I used billboard sizzlet strip and simple flower embosslit die.    I also broke out my new two step owl punch.

Here are some close ups of poem and lid top:

Mojo Monday goes tropical

I used to coach swimming, but my own kids got older and busy with their sport schedules and I had to stop coaching.  One of my former swimmer just made US Nationals so I wanted to send her a card to say congrats!   I used Mojo Monday sketch as, I needed some inspiration and mojo to get started.

I used items from Stampin Up's summer mini catalog- only available until August 31st!  Tropical party designer stamp and Island Oasis designer series paper.

Crazy for cupcakes and sweet and sour DSP

I had a chance to play along with Stamping 411 sketch this week.  My inspiration was this great new designer paper from Stampin Up called sweet and sour speciality.  It is tough to see but it is embossed around the circles.  I also learned from Angela McKay aka Northshorestamper.com, about matting when your image is bigger than your punches.  Just cut 2 of punched pieces in half- (1) long way and (2) short way.  Use those four pieces to matt behind your punched image.

stamps: wordplay and crazy for cupcakes
ink: pumpkin pie, rose red, regal rose, pretty in pink
cs: sweet and sour speciality dsp, very vanilla, rose red, stazon black
access: scallop oval extra large, scallop edge border punch, oval extra larger

Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge

Ok- yet again another card with Stampin Up's hostess set called because I care.  I had a friend ask for a sympathy card and this set just worked with the sketch and some extras cardstock scraps I had in my stash.

The sketch is on Splitcoast Stampers SC293.  It has been ages since I participated, but always good to have a sketch to get mojo going.

Stampin Up open house card share-some of my favorites!

This is a card we did using baby bundle in cling mount by Stampin Up.  I used white gel pen to color in polka dots on carriage.

This is a card I have shown before, I just jazzed it up with some rhinestone basic jewels  (119246, $4.95).  They have to be one of my favorite new accessories in Stampin Up Idea book and catalog.
The stamp set is a hostess level 1 set call because I care.

And finally my favorite new stamp set on page 60 called Morning cup, because along with stamps I am a caffeine junky.  It also uses a new scallop punch that is 2-3/8" that accomodates teh 1 -3/4 '' circle.  Also I used Elegant Soiree dsp, another personal fav!

scrapbook Saturday- baseball

I thought I share some pages I did of my sons' baseball this season.  So proud of myself to get them done before next season started.

I used my circle scissor plus, rub-ons and some old supplies I have had lingering about in my stash paper and metal charms.

Quinton got a double page spread, as baseball is the only team sport he still plays at 13.  My 10 year old does it all- football, basketball and baseball so he only got one as I did two page spreads for his other sports.

Now I just got to catch up on summer vacation and black belt test for karate and I am caught up!

Technostamper Monday lunchtime sketch 133

I love Mary Jo's work, she runs a bunch of challenges for Late night stampers, stampin connection and her own sketch challenges.   check out this week sketch.

I used Stampin Up's stamp set called Pun Fun.   Also hoarder alert- I got Island Oasis dsp from summer mini catalog and have not used it a lot.  It is only available until August 31, so I figured I better cut into it as well as the turquoise went well with whale image.  I used hearts from cardstock vs. buttons as I need to mail this card off to a friend who just had surgery.

My first bra

My first bra- well card anyways.  I have had this on my "have to try this" list for awhile.  Stampin Up's wonderful Presto Designer series paper, I used my brayer in cherry cobbler classic ink.   You can find template here.
