Christmas in July

Lots of people do Christmas Cards in July- get stocked up before the rush.  I live in New England- short summer long winter, I need to enjoy the weather and can't wrap my mind around Christmas yet.

However, my boys were in golf camp all week.  A perfect time to catch up on Scrapbooking!   I am literally a year behind.  I was able to almost catch up this week.

Here are 3 Christmas scrapbook layouts, using Stampin up's Christmas Jingle simply scrappin' kit.  Hardly any stamping involved- they are super quick and easy to get pages done.

workshop card share

This is one card we did at recent workshop featuring embossing- used embossing vintage wallpaper folder and perfect punches stamp set that we used clear embossing powder on it.

This one used vintage vogue set and jumbo wheel to match.  We sponged the edges of all cardstock with crumb cake ink to give it "vintage" look.

411 Morning cup

I got a chance to play along with Stamping 411 sketch challenge this week.

I have got to use one of my new Stampin Up sets I had to have called Morning cup (116988 for $21.95 for wood mount or 120489 for $16.95 clear mount).

I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it and this sketch was perfect to use a variety of images.

I am a huge coffee fan or addict!

recipe:

cs: cherry cobbler, elegant soiree dsp, confetti cream
ink: stazon black, early expresso, crumb cake, cherry cobbler, baja breeze (to watercolor)
accessories: 1/8 early expresso taffeta ribbon, word window punch, scallop trim border

hostess gift-perfect punches

This is a purse stationary set I made for my hostess for a workshop I am doing tonight.

I used some retired Dsp that has some returning colors- riding hood red and pirouette pink.  I used a new Stampin Up stamp set called: perfect punches.  It has a variety of sentiments that coordinate with our punches- how cool is that.

Here is up close view:

I'm back because I care!

I am BACK!  I made some of these cards to thank some of my friends who brought dinner over or took my boys for the day to keep them entertained.

As I was still in recovery mode I wanted to do some quick cards.

I used Stampin Up's Because I care  level I hostess set in new 2010-11 Idea book and catalog.  Playing with some new toys I also used new in color markers concord crush and pear pizzazz to color in flower. Simple card just used whisper white for base and ran top  of card through big shot using vintage wallpaper embossing folder.
