fossil fun

This is on of the cards we did at card club this week using fossil stone technique.

Here is an attempt at quick tutorial, because it is fun to do!

First, you need a plastic file folder. I did not have one but took a page protector and cut it open.

Then, take two ink colors, in complementary colors. Here, I chose certainly celery and wild wasabi.

Now take ink pad and (dip) direct to plastic. Just smoosh one ink color all over on side, and then repeat to other side with other color. You need to make the ink larger than size of your paper

Now, close the folder back up and smooth over the top with your hand.
This will help create air bubbles, which is the effect you want.

The next step is to use glossy cardstock, back to back so glossy side is facing out. Put it inside the folder and continue to
smooth the folder to spread the ink over the glossy cardstock.

Make sure you smooth backside as well. The cool thing is you will get two pieces covered to make more than one card if you want.

The result is a fun background to stamp on!

Thanks for the great tutorial Kathy! The glossy c/s makes such awesome backgrounds with wet stuff like paint, ink, and shaving cream! Haven't seen this one before, but need to try it - thanks for sharing!
